A Word About Early Education & Development to Families:
First-off relax and enjoy these years. One of the biggest purposes of education (esspecially in the early years) is to build capacity and enrich lives. We are preparing our children for their next seasons in life. The most important thing in your child's development is not is s/he can count, identify letters or even use the potty. It is so much more valuable that s/he be able to functionally enjoy the enviorment and particiapate with family and community. Yes, being toilet-trained and knowing letters and numbers can be important for this functioning. But this is why it is importtant - as a means to an end, not an end in itself. So enjoy and know it is OK for your child to need sokme adaptations. I want your family to be as happy and healthy as possible.
